- Super League: Runde 4

FC Liverpool - Sydney Uni 0-1
-
-

-
-
Sydney Uni continued their tremendous start to the winter super league with their 4th win in as many games against Liverpool Bossy FC.
-
Bossy, a fierce opponent in recent years, have been struggling so far this season and my sources say that the pressure was mounting on the players with the club expecting to take maximum points at Ernie Smith Reserve.
-
However, it was Uni's new recruit - the Big German Unit, who snared victory for the students with a polished finish inside the box after an Ace free kick.
It was the first time Uni had beaten Bossy in 5 attempts, and the win maintained their position at the top of the Super League ladder.
-
With First Grade Coach Glenn Lockhart on Australian Futsal duties, it was caretaker coach Michael Gaffney who was left with the responsiblity to lead the boys to victory.
-
The first half was a fairly even affair with both teams not playing their best football. Chances were still created at both ends of the paddock with Cheese and the Greyhound looking dangerous at times.
-
In the second half Uni made use of the wind and almost immediately opened the scoring with Choc Collins, aka the Marrickville Mauler, grazing the upright.
Bossy did look dangerous at times, with Hoolio clearing a ball off the line and also some sound keeping from boxhead and scrambling defence keeping Bossy at bay.
-
However, it was the Big German Unit, whose first goal in the blue and gold clinched it for Uni. He's been putting in some stellar performances lately and was justifiably rewarded with the goal.

Emil lover forøvrig at bloggene fra kampene fremover vil inkludere litt bilder etterhvert.
