Parramatta - Sydney Uni 1 - 0
-

-
Goal drought continues for Super League lads
-
Heartbreaking, is perhaps the understatement of the year, as a 92nd minute deflected goal cost us a deserved lead in the Super League title race.
-
The competition is so tight that the three points dropped keep us in 6th place as opposed to first if we did knock over Melita last Sunday.
-
Again it was a dominant performance from the boys. Some simple tactical changes saw us defend comfortably and attack with flair and purpose. Many of the crowd were applauding our play and at the same time booing their own for their lack of respect for the ball.
-
The half-time talk focussed on the positives and where we were going to break down Melita's defence, as a unit we were confident that the game was there for our taking, but as the previous weeks have shown, the soccer gods were not prepared to give us the goal, Greg Collins hit the crossbar, Ed Noel lashed a one on one over the bar and at the 90 minute mark, James Alcorn opened their defence up only to be denied by the keeper.
-
It is very hard to be critical of the lads as the work ethic is there and the football we display is exciting. At some point in this competition we will absolutely demolish a team by 5, 6, or 7 of that I am sure, and I hope you can all be there that day to cheer on the boys.
-
We play Granville Rage this Saturday night at Hensley Field and hopefully we can attract a big crowd and see us break this El Nino type drought.
-
See you Saturday night
-
Keep the faith!!
